Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2024, Poland's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 10.7% compared to 2023, reaching 54.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 80.7%.

Poland ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 21.2% (from 45.2% in 2019).
