Fertility indicators

In 1999, Portugal's fertility indicators increased by 2.0% compared to 1998, reaching 1.50.

Portugal ranks 10th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.4% (from 1.45 in 1994).
