Fertility indicators

In 1999, Finland's fertility indicators increased by 1.8% compared to 1998, reaching 1.73.

Finland ranks 5th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 6.5% (from 1.85 in 1994).
