Fertility indicators

In 1999, Romania's fertility indicators decreased by 1.5% compared to 1998, reaching 1.30.

Romania ranks 16th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 7.1% (from 1.40 in 1994).
