Population structure indicators at national level

In 2006, Romania's population structure indicators at national level increased by 4.8% compared to 2005, reaching 37.2.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 40.0.

Romania ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 8.1% (from 34.4 in 2001).
