Population structure indicators at national level

In 2022, Romania's population structure indicators at national level increased by 2.2% compared to 2021, reaching 33.1.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 36.0.

Romania ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 13.7% (from 29.1 in 2017).
