Population structure indicators at national level

In 2021, Romania's population structure indicators at national level increased by 2.9% compared to 2020, reaching 32.4.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 35.4.

Romania ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 14.9% (from 28.2 in 2016).
