Population structure indicators at national level

In 2023, Romania's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.8% compared to 2022, reaching 33.7.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 36.4.

Romania ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 12.7% (from 29.9 in 2018).
