Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2016, Romania's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 14.3% compared to 2015, reaching 7.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.3%.

Romania ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 20.9% (from 9.1% in 2011).
