In 2016, Slovakia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 1.8% compared to 2015, reaching 5.7%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 14.3%.
Slovakia ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 9.5% (from 6.3% in 2011).
