Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1977, Slovakia's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.3% compared to 1976, reaching 74.3.

Slovakia ranks 11th out of 16 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.5% (from 73.9 in 1972).
