Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1978, Slovakia's life expectancy by age and sex decreased by 0.1% compared to 1977, reaching 74.2.

Slovakia ranks 11th out of 16 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.1% (from 73.4 in 1973).
