Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1979, Slovakia's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.5% compared to 1978, reaching 74.6.

Slovakia ranks 10th out of 16 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.2% (from 73.7 in 1974).
