Persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex

In 2024, Slovakia's persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex increased by 4.0% compared to 2023, reaching 18.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.0%.

Slovakia ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 23.6% (from 14.8% in 2019).
