Persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex

In 2025, Slovakia's persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex decreased by 8.7% compared to 2024, reaching 16.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 20.9%.

Slovakia ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 21.0% (from 13.8% in 2020).
