Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Slovakia's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 6.5% compared to 2023, reaching 18.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 25.2%.

Slovakia ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.1% (from 16.9% in 2019).
