Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Hungary's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 6.7% compared to 2023, reaching 18.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 25.2%.

Hungary ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 44.6% (from 12.6% in 2019).
