At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2021, Spain's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 5.5% compared to 2020, reaching 28.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 19.6%.

Spain ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 2.7% (from 29.7% in 2016).
