At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2019, Malta's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.0% compared to 2018, reaching 18.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.2%.

Malta ranks 9th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 13.1% (from 16.0% in 2014).
