In 2016, Sweden's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 6.1% compared to 2015, reaching 375,396.

Sweden ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 9.5% (from 415,029 in 2011).
