In 2018, Sweden's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 7.2% compared to 2017, reaching 334,286.

Sweden ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 18.6% (from 410,762 in 2013).
