In 2021, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 39.6% compared to 2020, reaching 12.7%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.7%.
Hungary ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 86.8% (from 6.8% in 2016).
