Fertility indicators

In 1998, Austria's fertility indicators decreased by 1.4% compared to 1997, reaching 1.37.

Austria ranks 14th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 8.7% (from 1.50 in 1993).
