Fertility indicators

In 1998, Slovakia's fertility indicators decreased by 4.2% compared to 1997, reaching 1.37.

Slovakia ranks 15th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 26.7% (from 1.87 in 1993).
