Distribution of population by tenure status, type of household and income group

In 2024, Austria's distribution of population by tenure status, type of household and income group increased by 0.4% compared to 2023, reaching 54.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 68.4%.

Austria ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.3% (from 55.2% in 2019).
