Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2010, Slovakia's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 2.9% compared to 2009, reaching 9.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 14.4%.

Slovakia ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 43.1% (from 6.4% in 2005).
