Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2016, Austria's unemployment by sex and age increased by 6.2% compared to 2015, reaching 12.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 20.7%.

Austria ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 26.3% (from 9.5% in 2011).
