Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2020, Italy's unemployment by sex and age increased by 2.1% compared to 2019, reaching 29.8%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.6%.

Italy ranks 3rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 26.1% (from 40.3% in 2015).
