Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2020, Belgium's main indicators increased by 20.7% compared to 2019, reaching 25.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 37.4%.

Belgium ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 61.3% (from 15.6% in 2015).
