Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2020, Luxembourg's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 27.8% compared to 2019, reaching 13.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 37.4%.

Luxembourg ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 124.1% (from 6.2% in 2015).
