Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2020, Netherlands's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 44.9% compared to 2019, reaching 26.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 37.4%.

Netherlands ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 139.2% (from 11.0% in 2015).
