At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2024, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 14.9% compared to 2023, reaching 25.5%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.6%.

Bulgaria ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 26.3% (from 34.6% in 2019).
