At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2024, Latvia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 3.2% compared to 2023, reaching 41.4%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.6%.

Latvia ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 13.6% (from 47.9% in 2019).
