Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2009, Bulgaria's main indicators increased by 14.3% compared to 2008, reaching 10.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 20.7%.

Bulgaria ranks 17th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 30.5% (from 8.4% in 2004).
