Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2009, Sweden's main indicators increased by 8.5% compared to 2008, reaching 58.3%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 20.7%.

Sweden ranks 2nd out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 13.8% (from 51.2% in 2004).
