Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2010, Bulgaria's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 16.0% compared to 2009, reaching 13.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 14.4%.

Bulgaria ranks 12th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 51.8% (from 9.2% in 2005).
