Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2009, Bulgaria's main indicators increased by 16.0% compared to 2008, reaching 12.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 13.9%.

Bulgaria ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 30.1% (from 9.2% in 2004).
