Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2010, Bulgaria's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 37.2% compared to 2009, reaching 1.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 5.5%.

Bulgaria ranks 22nd out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 69.5% (from 0.9% in 2005).
