At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2023, Croatia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.6% compared to 2022, reaching 16.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.5%.

Croatia ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 18.3% (from 19.7% in 2018).
