At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2021, Cyprus's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 14.6% compared to 2020, reaching 20.4%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.7%.

Cyprus ranks 8th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.6% (from 19.5% in 2016).
