In 2016, Cyprus's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 22.5% compared to 2015, reaching 731.

Cyprus ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 56.9% (from 1,697 in 2011).
