Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2010, Cyprus's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 4.1% compared to 2009, reaching 6.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 14.4%.

Cyprus ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 96.8% (from 3.1% in 2005).
