Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2023, Cyprus's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 0.8% compared to 2022, reaching 7.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 11.0%.

Cyprus ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 173.8% (from 2.7% in 2018).
