Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2022, Cyprus's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 0.5% compared to 2021, reaching 7.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.6%.

Cyprus ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 182.2% (from 2.6% in 2017).
