Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Czechia's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 9.0% compared to 2023, reaching 17.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 47.5%.

Czechia ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 27.6% (from 14.0% in 2019).
