Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Germany's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 4.1% compared to 2023, reaching 54.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 47.5%.

Germany ranks 9th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 33.2% (from 40.6% in 2019).
