Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Austria's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 2.5% compared to 2023, reaching 90.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 47.5%.

Austria ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 20.0% (from 75.1% in 2019).
