Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2021, Czechia's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 28.2% compared to 2020, reaching 6.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.1%.

Czechia ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.8% (from 6.5% in 2016).
