Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2016, Estonia's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 0.3% compared to 2015, reaching 16.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 30.2%.

Estonia ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 32.7% (from 12.2% in 2011).
