Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2016, Sweden's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 1.3% compared to 2015, reaching 64.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 30.2%.

Sweden ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 8.8% (from 59.6% in 2011).
